The Golden Girl 2

In mono the shot was fine but as soon as I started the colour, I noticed the girl's head seemed to float away from the body so in a rare moment of image manipulation I altered the girl by opening the blouse and expanding the neck to allow the eye to now see the neck as well as removing the white space to the left hand side of her face. Also removing the deep shadow on the left hand side of her face made a difference. An interesting problem I didn't expect.

I also had to balance the tone on the hand to the right as it was very dark in the original mono image.

Her hair was the most time consuming part of the image adding streaks of highlight in the golden curls.

The colour restoration and image manipulation was roughly 17 hours work.
