Slide1

Despite Slide being a superior image to negatives, they were never designed for printing only projecting. As anyone who have ever tried to get Slides printed knows they suffer from high contrast and colour bleeding.

Even in the digital domain you have to do a balancing act between restoring the image and bring out the detail.

Here two problems. The high contrast inherent in slides and correcting the colour shifts.

Bring out the detail too much and you lose the blacks. Knock the detail back and you get the high contrast back.

Also you have a heavy yellow cast and the shadows having a heavy blue.

Overall a very pleasing result.
